Wednesday August 2nd @7PM - Auxiliary Fundraiser Committee Meeting

We would like to invite all members that would be so included to help in any way with the Auxiliary Fundraiser on August 26th to come to a meeting this coming Wednesday night.  There is much work to be done and all help is greatly appreciated.

It is our hope that we see many of you this Wednesday.
As a reminder, the next regularly scheduled auxiliary meeting is Thursday August 10th at 7pm and the Auxiliary Fundraiser is Saturday August 26th.  
It's time to start making reservations as we expect to be sold out.  The Eddie Pollina Band will be our entertainment and we have some amazing items for our silent auction and live auction.

White Hot Summer NighT

Dear BLYC Family,

Announcing the 2017 BLYC Auxiliary annual Auction Fundraiser Party, White Hot Summer NighT – Saturday August 26.  This annual event makes it possible for the Auxiliary to fund improvements to the club, children’s club events and support local community charitable events.  Just this year it funded the new carpeting for the New Cupola Lounge, Front Entry, Stairs and the Dining Room!  And in other years working with the Board of Governors, the Auxiliary purchased the outdoor sound system, rocking chairs, dining room chairs, gas grill and much more. 

Last year we had tremendous success with our Live and Silent auctions due to the many creative and generous donations of our members and sponsors.

DONATION DEADLINE  = August 12th at the club or contact a BLYC Auxiliary Board member for a pick up! With your donation, please provide a description & cost for the bid sheets.

2017 July Events

Happy Summer!

We hope this email finds you all well and having an opportunity to relax and enjoy yourselves. There have a few events of which we would like to remind you and extend an invitation.
Please join us this evening for cocktails at 6:30pm and a meeting following at 7:00pm.  We need all of your support as the Auxiliary Fundraiser is just around the corner.  Please consider joining us! 

We are so excited to bring Wine and Canvas to our club for this event.  The artists will offer step-by-step to create your finished masterpiece.  This event is $35.00 per person and includes a drink ticket and light appetizers.  Because we need to know exact numbers, we are requesting that you reserve in advance by going to the following link.  This will bring up a calendar and then you will go to the July 27th date, click on it and register for the BLYC event.  You will pay by credit card in advance.
If someone does not have internet access or would prefer to pay by check, please contact me (Julie Whetstone) at 740-503-7199 and we can pay for it via our credit card and you can reimburse us by check or cash.
We need a minimum of 15 people to make this event happen so please register ASAP and bring a friend!  We would like to cut this event off at 30 people in order to make it comfortable for everyone.
Don't forget about the upcoming Auxiliary Fundraiser in August.  We need as many people as possible to make this a successful event.

June 8: Meeting and Wine Tasting Event 6:30PM

We are so excited to welcome member Michelle Pfeiffer from Hidden Lakes Winery as our guest.  After a brief auxiliary meeting updating progress on the fundraiser and a discussion on the name change, Michelle will have a short presentation about how their winery business began.  Following will be wine tastings along with tapas portions of food. There will also be a bourbon and a rum to taste as well. This a FREE event provided by the BLYC Auxiliary. 

Reservations are required.  We ask that you RSVP through Punch Bowl or by calling the BLYC Yacht Club so that we can appropriately plan for the occasion.  Please invite a friend or two to join you as this will be a wonderful event.
