There are several classes of membership available in the

Buckeye Lake Yacht Club.

Active Membership

Active members must be at least 18 years of age and may be of any place of residence.  Active members have full privileges of the Club, including electoral, rental, and charge privileges.

 

An application for Active Membership must be accompanied by the entire Initiation Fee and First Year's Dues.

 

Children of Active Members becoming Active Members:

 

Under the age of 21:

 

Children of Active Members in good standing may become Active Members without paying the initiation fee provided that they do so prior to the age of 21 years (or 23 if an a full-time college student between the ages of 21 and 23)

 

Between the ages of 21 and 40:

 

Children of Active Members in good standing who do not qualify for the above option, may become Active Members by paying 1/2 of the initiation fee provided that they do so prior to the age of 40 years.

 

 

 

Associate Membership

 

Associate Membership is available to persons at least 21 years of age, but not yet 35 years of age.  Associate members are afforded the option to join the Club by paying the First Year's Dues and at least 1/3 of the initiation fee.  Each following year, at least 1/3 of the initiation fee must be paid with the annual dues until the full amount is paid, at which time they become an Active Member.

 

Associate Members have all privileges of Active Membership with the exception of electoral privileges.

 

 

 

 

Non-Resident Membership

 

Non-Resident Membership is available to persons at least 21 years of age who reside outside an 75-mile radius from the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club and not temporarily residing within that radius for a period of longer than 8 weeks per year.  Non-Resident Members have a lower dues rate than Active Membership.

 

Non-Resident Members have all privileges of Active Membership with the exception of electoral privileges.

 

 

Re-instatement of Membership

 

Former members of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club who have been non-members for one year or more may resume Active Membership status by payment of the difference between the initiation fee originally paid and the current initiation fee, or by the payment of all dues and fees that would have been required during such absence, whichever is the lesser amount.  See Article I, Section 6 of the By-Laws for specific information.
