COMM. EARL WILLIAMS - LONG DISTANCE RACE 

NOTICE OF RACE

 

 

Race will be Friday, July 4th – Independence Day.

 

Race will begin at 1:00 p.m. (30 minute warning signal at 12:30 p.m. and skipper’s meeting at 12:30 p.m. at east end of front porch - ground level). 

 

All classes are invited to participate.  There will be one (1) start

for all boats. All boats will be scored using a PHRF rating.

The Low Point System of Appendix A, of the RRS will apply.

 

No registration or registration fee is required; however, all  participants must sign a waiver/release form prior to participation.  Checking in at the competitor’s meeting and advising the Race Committee of intent to race will enter the boat in the race.

 

All races will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing and the Sailing Instructions for the Lambrecht Cup Series – with the following exceptions:

 

1)      The “class flag” for all boats will be “green”.

 

2)      Spinnakers may be used.

 

3)      The racing area will be bounded to the east by the east bank 

           and the west by the west bank of BuckeyeLake.

         

4)      Marks will be yellow 5’ “tomato” marks.

 

5)      There will be no time limit.

 

6)      Trophies and medals will be awarded for first,

          second and third place.
