The International Order of the Blue Gavel is a world-wide organization made up of over 4,000 Past Commodores of qualified Yacht Clubs. It's purpose is to preserve the proven traditions, customs and ethics of yachting so that they may not be lost to those yet to come. The organization meets locally, regionally, nationally and internationally in the true spirit of camaraderie enhanced by the common bond of having been a Commodore.
