Buckeye Lake Yacht Club


2014 Annual

Classic Boat Regatta


August 15-17

 

The Buckeye Lake Yacht Club invites you and your family to join us at the anniversary of our Classic Boat Regatta.  All boats are welcome: power or sail; runabout, utility, cruiser, or racer; wood or fiberglas; classic or contemporary.  Boats will be displayed at our protected Club docks or on trailers in our reserved parking area.

This year's regatta continues our "Celebration of Boating!"

The first 35 registrants will receive a beautiful mahogany Participant's Award compliments of Matt Zimmerman of Zimmerman Boat Works and Todd Damon of the Wood Werks.  

Special awards will include; The Bud Sayre Memorial Award; People's Choice; Participant's Choice; Commodore's Choice; and, Contemporary Race Boat Choice. 

Our outdoor grills and clubhouse are available for your enjoyment during the regatta.

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Registration at the Yacht Club
10:00 am - 6:00 pm Launching at Boat Boys, Buckeye Lake Marina or the State Park North Shore Ramp
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm  Participants' Reception

The Yacht Club will be open to the public for viewing

Launch Facilities & Assistance

Boat Boys Sayres Brothers Marina and the Buckeye Lake Marina will be offering complimentary launching and hoisting.  Use Boat Boys for boats up to 26' in length and Buckeye Lake Marina for 26' and over.  Call Boat boys at (740) 928-3691 and Buckeye Lake Marina at (740) 467-2697 to make arrangments.

The new State Park Launch Ramp is located a short distance east on State Route 79.  Volunteers will be available to help you launch your boat, give you directions for boat docking, trailer display, and parking and provide assistance in mooring your boat.
