Each season, BLYC offers Sailing Camps for children and grandchildren of members and their friends. Camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. During the week, sailors learn the basics of sailing, sailing terminology, racing techniques and strategy, and much more – all while making new friends at BLYC.
Participants should bring their own packed lunch each day of camp this year

Which Session of Camp is Right for my Child?
In order to better facilitate learning, BLYC sailing camps are ability-grouped based on knowledge and experience and limited in the number of participants.
Please, discuss with your sailor what they know and are comfortable with. It is essential they are in the appropriate camp for their skill level and it is completely normal to repeat camps. Also, feel free to do some reviewing of boat parts, points of sail, and knots before camp! I understand that during the school year, some of those things can be forgotten. If your sailor has been in camps before and you are questioning what camp is best for them, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Head Instructor, Katy Schroeder at “
